With Wetterbaby 2.0, we've rethought the app from scratch. It's now even closer to the real everyday lives of parents.
Here are the most important changes.
A New Clothing Algorithm: Finally More Realistic
The biggest step is at the heart of the app. The recommendations have been completely redeveloped.
What's different now? We no longer just look at temperature — we look at the feels-like temperature. That means wind is factored in, stroller vs. carrier makes a difference, and the transitions (e.g. 12 to 15 °C) are much more precise.
In short: the suggestions now feel like the weather actually feels.
A New Mode: Stroller
This was one of the most common pieces of feedback — and honestly, it was completely fair. Babies in the stroller need something different from those in the carrier. Why? In the stroller, babies move less, are more exposed to the wind, and it's often cooler than expected.
With the new stroller mode, you now get recommendations tailored exactly to that, including a blanket, footmuff, and the right layers.
A New Design: Cleaner, Calmer, Faster
We've also overhauled the design. Less distraction, more focus on what matters.
New is the modern Liquid Glass design (iOS 26), simpler navigation, and a new app icon. Our goal was simple: you should see the answer to the question of what to dress your baby in today immediately, without having to think about it.
New Settings: Your Baby Isn't "The Average"
Every baby is different, and we finally wanted to reflect that better. You can now set your baby's age, enter their birthday, and choose whether your baby needs it warmer or cooler than the default suggestions. The recommendations adapt noticeably better as a result.
Reworked Clothing Categories
We've also tidied up the structure behind the scenes: clearer categories, more logical combinations, fewer "odd" transitions. The outfits simply come together more coherently as a result.
Conclusion
Wetterbaby 2.0 isn't a small update. It's the version we wanted to build from the start: more reality. More understanding of everyday life. Less guesswork when dressing.
If you already use the app: definitely check out the update. And if not: now Wetterbaby really does what it should — make everyday life easier for you.
